In Memoriam: Bernard L. Herman
The CMCS is deeply saddened by the loss of one of UD’s preeminent scholars of American Material Culture. Dr. Herman died in late December of last year. He worked at the University of Delaware from 1977, when he began as a lecturer in the Department of History, moving through various departments and positions until his retirement from the University in 2009.
